My first camera was a little Nikon, which served me well, and is still being used by a friend, to whom I gave it when I got my current Canon S50. I've used them to document my travels, work I've done on the house, snaps of family and friends, and things that were simply pretty and visually interesting. Indeed, PinkMutant Web is named after a Photoshopped pink orchid I shot at a Conservatory in Seattle, and a goodly part of the site is essentially a collection of my photos. In this section i I've gathered together photos I liked, but they never quite made it into any of the other pages.
Doesn't everyone love flowers? I do. Not only do I enjoy growing them, I get the bonus of being able to photograph them. Flowers are often best featured in a square format, so the the first page begins with pictures so cropped, while the second page goes on to some more unusual shapes.
One year I went for a walk around my neighborhood in the Fall, armed with my camera. Here are a few of the photos I shot that day.
