![]() To begin one must first paint. I was constrained in my choices by the color of the fixtures, and ended up with a new designer paint color that in real light seems more peach than pink. You can see the original color above the tub, and the original floor between the toilet and sink. |

After talking to someone who had experience with old toilets I decided NOT to move the toilet out and tile under it, so I had to come up with a tile design that went around the toilet and is aesthetically interesting. |

While I rather liked the little tail next to the toilet, I finally decided to eliminate it, but then decided to put a less obvious version on the other side, as part of a running line that echoes the lines in the rest of the house. I also found some cool Italian decorative tile with a little castle, so I put that in. After getting most of the tile actually attached to the floor, I decided it was a little boring and I could perk it up by using a racing stripe with the embossed version of the tile I'm going to use on the walls around the bathtub. Got the idea while fooling around with the photo of the almost finished floor in Photoshop. |
