After arranging the tile on a sheet of foam core on the floor, with the holes cut in the foam core for where the faucets and spout come out, it was time to transfer the tile to the wall. I then discovered my first plumbing problem (which I knew I would have, and is why I've put off doing the rooms containing plumbing fixtures until now). To wit: the six inch pipe the spout attaches to will not fit the new spout. So the picture shows the rather bizarre tile design, the shiny new faucets and their equally shiny new flanges, and the pathetic old spout dangling from the pipe. I'll have to remove the pipe and get a new correctly sized one, without breaking anything. I keep putting this off.... |
