![]() View from the patio, into the living room, the front door is visible thru the screen. I fixed the trim around the windows and sliding glass door, painted it, and have painted the stucco up to the light fixture. I also did some half-assed repair on the door into the garage and painted it. Below is the "Ghost in the Glass"--a view all the way into the dining room, plus a reflection of the author of all these changes, namely me. The other two photos show what I think of as upcoming nightmares: to wit, the remainder of the west side of the house, and the only place where the underside of the eaves really truly must be painted. Immediately below those are the new improved version, with the Ghost in the glass replaced by a different view of the west wall, from the gate to the back corner. Finally, a panoramic view of the patio or north wall, half-way finished, and, when you mouse over, you see the completely finished view. Looking at it, I realize I need new patio furniture. By the middle of June the only thing left to do on the outside of the house itself was to paint the metal part of the window framing of the kitchen and the back windows (there is however still the garage and workshop to do). When I get the windows done I plan to get myself a pizza, in self-indulgent celebration. I've spent pretty much the entire spring working on the painting of the outside of the house, I shall mark the Summer Solstice by concentrating most of my time and effort on the inside.....that troublesome master bath which was the trigger that really started all of this home improvement frenzy. Hard to believe that I've been at this for almost 8 years now! |
