Duomo
Although our drive along the Amalfi coast on October 3rd did not have beautiful weather, there were occasional bits of blue sky and sunlight, and at least it never really poured rain. We saw a number of towns along the way, and several things I fell in love with, including the Amalfi Duomo, which was quite simply beautiful. The cloister in Ravello was wonderfully serene, and the combination of design elements from Italian, Norman and Moorish traditions made it a visually interesting and unusual place. Furthermore, it was my birthday, and we ate at a little restaurant with a great view. What could be better?
