Gubbio is VERY steep. We started at the bottom, and fortified ourselves with an incredible version of hot chocolate that Ken introduced us to: it is called Eraclea and is only available in Italy, and is the most fantastic chocolate I ever had. We then started up for the top, pausing here and there to take wonderful photos. Unfortunately when we got to the top, we lost Bruce. Ken remarked that it was fortunate that it was Bruce that we lost, since he has better sense than the rest of us and would undoubtedly find his way back to the car. This proved to be true. In fact, the three of us got lost at the bottom and couldn't find the parking lot, finally stumbling upon it by accident, where Bruce was in fact waiting for us. |
